C.1930 Heriz Runner
C.1930 Heriz Runner
£ 2,500
Early Heriz carpets from North-West Persia are in a class of their own. Prized for their geometric designs, fine durable construction, and creative use of vegetable-dyed colours, they make ideal long-lasting rugs and have always stood out for their striking tribal motifs. In our experience, Heriz carpets prove to be among the most versatile decorative weavings, with the ability to unite both modern and traditional design elements in a room.
This delightful Early 20th-Century Heriz runner showcases a bold, graphic vine-leaf motif that repeats creatively across the field. It features a rich palette of earthy ochre and tan accented with touches of mid-to-light blue, all set against a stunning terracotta red background and framed by a highly decorative border.
Maintained in very good practical condition for everyday use, it retains its outer borders on all sides.
This charming tribal piece is sure to enhance the character of any setting.
