A Wonderful Early 20th Century Anatolian Carpet in a London Townhouse

For this project, we were asked to provide a carpet for the sitting room of a London townhouse – after consulting with the client, and looking over the existing furniture, we suggested an understated 1920s Anatolian carpet, in neutral-coloured undyed wool. It serves to compliment the tones in the herringbone wood flooring and the mirror frames, adding warmth and antique charm to the room without overpowering the sleek, modern feel of the rest of the design.

We have two similar examples still available, both from the same era and region, and in the same lovely earthy palette; these can be found here and here.
