Zieglers were originally commissioned in Persia during the late 19th century to complement European furnishing tastes. This classic Ziegler Sultanabad carpet was woven in the last 25 years with colours which have mellowed nicely owing to the care the previous owner took with it. The attractive light terracotta field beautifully complements the large scale drawing and array of colours, framed by a wide ivory border.
