Contemporary and Antique Carpets in an Cheltenham Home
Contemporary and Antique Carpets in an Cheltenham Home
On this project, the client needed carpets for two rooms, one for the sitting room and one for the dressing room.
In the sitting room, the client had a mixture of midcentury and antique furniture – together we decided on a handwoven Contemporary Ziegler Sultanabad; with its combination of cool, muted colours and relaxed overall design with the more classical elements in its composition, served to unite these nicely.
In another part of the house, a wonderful c. 1920 Arts & Crafts Cuenca carpet from Spain was chosen for the dressing room; the warmer tones suited this more intimate space, sitting well with the colours in the upholstery.
Should you feel that something like the contemporary Ziegler carpet might suit your own home, we have a number of pieces in our collection that may be of interest – please see here, here and here for some nice examples in various colour palettes.
