The library space of this Soho Hotel made the perfect home for this gorgeous Tabriz carpet – being a more intimate, homlier space, the client was keen on finding something that with warmer tones and a relaxed, grand scale design; the large-scalled allover scythed leaf motifs – rather than the more crowded compositions find in other, more traditional pieces from the region – gives the work a more open feel that prevents it from dominating the space.
